No matter what Prakrti dosha you are, your vata/kapha energy increases during the cold winter. You can prevent unhealthy Vata/Kapha inbalances with selecting the food, colors, jewelry, and essential oils that will help keep your body and heart warm!


Here are the recommended foods for wintertime.

Texture: warm, moist sticky, soft. sweet, sour, salty

Style: soups, stews. well-cooked.

Things you should consider your intake during winter

  • Hard to chew, cold foods, cold dairy products

  • Bitter, astringent taste

  • dry, crunchy, raw food

  • Out of season vegetables and fruits
